My engine dies both while idling or going down the road. When this happens going down the road, everything electrical shuts down and reboots as if turning on the key for the first time. The clock and trip odometer always resets when this hapens. If this happens while idling, the car is dead and nothing will work. At some random point, it will reboot and start back up. Sometimes it takes 30 seconds, sometimes 2 hours.

Sounds like a battery cable problem, check the entire length of both cables and clean the both ends. If that doesnt do it check the connectors at the PCM. Also the power distribution center under the hood.
