Engine Mechanical problem
1977 Volkswagen Beetle Two Wheel Drive Manual na miles

my friend made me a gift last year a 77 vw beetle he bought a new eng but let it sit for almost 4YR so when I got it a I started working on it got it running for a while park back for a month and I had trouble starting it it was a bad ground conn. But now oil started cumming out from the fan housing I open most of the eng parts but it seems the oil is cumming from the brackets of the eng since im not a pro mec. Will I get in problems of taking it off and trying to assemble that part if thats the one. Thank you

Inside the fan housing is the oil cooler. You may be able to remove the hood, remove the generator belt, loosen the screws on both sides of the fan housing and pull it straight up and off without pulling the engine. The cooler bolts to the block and has two round rubber washers for the oil passages. These need to be replaced and maybe the cooler as well if it's leaking internally.
