1974 Volkswagen Beetle Running problems

I have a 1974 VW Bug, It will start up every time but dies (likes its starving for fuel) after about 1 minute of running. When the problem first started I found the alternator was bad so I changed that out. I verified the ignition system good and that the fuel pump is putting out enough pressure, I even changed the fuel filter. Still nothing changed it still dies after start up. Yes its fuel injected. Please help.

When it dies does it start right back up again?
