1972 Volkswagen Beetle 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

My 1972 VW beetle is having some issues with idling. It starts up like it normally does but wont idle after that. When I drive it, it feels funny to accelerate. Like it dosnt want to push the car. Then when I start to slow down to a stop the car shuts off. Why is this happing and why wont my poor beetle idle?

Hi there,

Check that the fuel filter is not blocked, the fuel pump is OK and the carby is clean ands adjusted correctly, start here.

We already switched the fuel filter and checked the fuel pump, so we know thats not the problem. But our next thought was the carburetor. Thanks mark
