2001 Vauxhall Corsa 72000 miles

I have an x reg vauxhall corsa which has had engine management light coming on but no problems with driving. I took it to my local garage and they put it n the diagnostic machine and said it was nothing major and could be 1 of five things maybe my oxygen sensor but were would have to wait until my car started having problems. I am just concerned the longer it is left that damage may be done to the catalytic convertor but it is not stalling on me or anything. What do you recommend? Since taken it to the garage over a week ago the light has not come back on

Your garage is correct. Keep driving it. If the light comes back on take it back to them. You will not damage the car in away doing this. There is no fault with the vehicle if the light is off. If or when the light does come back on the garage will be able to replace the part that is faulty. But untill the light is back on they will not know which part this is.
