1995 Vauxhall Corsa my engine managment light is coming on

I had my engine managment light come on and the car cut out I started it up ok and and it run fine

CEL/MIL/SES coming On means there's a fault code/s recorded in the computer and must be retrieve by scanning the computer to identify the problem within the engine management system
