Trouble starting

Okay, so I have the truck listed above it is a 1500. Tonight I went to start my truck and it started no problem. After a few seconds it shut off and the check engine light and GEN light start to flicker. Went to start it again and it started and shut off right away. Went to start and it again and it just cranks and cranks. Now when I turn the key on no check engine light nor the GEN light turns on and it still will not start. Please help!

Hello,

It sounds like you have a main power relay going out but we should see if there are any codes in the system before we find out whats wrong.

Currently there are no codes that would be related to it being an electrical problem. Could it be an ignition switch going bad that is taking out all the power intermittently?

Oh yes, they had problems with ignition switches in those trucks. Here is a guide to help you change out the ignition switch and below are diagrams to help you get the job done.

Check out the diagrams (below).
