Trouble shooting overheating while idling

Truck listed above is a Sierra. Overheating while idling once I start driving the temperature goes back to normal. Also When I’m driving my transmission drag a little changing from 2nd to 3rd gear.

Good morning,

This sounds like the clutch fan may not be turning fast enough to pull cool air through the radiator. Once you start moving, the air if forced through the grille.
