Transmission not shifting properly

My truck will only go in 1st and 2and gear a plug on the side of my transmission the wires are broke off.

Hi,

Did the connector break or the component it is attached to? Also, can you upload a picture of the connector, so I know specifically which harness you are dealing with?

I have a feeling it is the transmission range sensor, but I need to confirm. Take a look at the pic below and let me know if the wire colors in the pic match what you have.
