I want to know if a 2004 transmission will fit in a 1996.

Good morning,

The 1996 has a 4 speed transmission and 2004 has a 5 speed transmission.

The simple answer is no, it will not work due to the controls.

You will need the correct transmission. You can go to www.car-part.com and check in your area.

You need a 4R70 for your 19. I attached a YouTube video for you below for the procedure.
