Hi -

My Toyota dealer is quoting a price of nearly 2k for replacement of an oil pan (dented), carbon chamber (coming up on code read), and gas tank (punctured).

I think my 18 year old ran over a rock -- a big rock.

Anyway, I have no idea of parts/labor for this. Since my insurance co won't cover as anything but collision, I can't go to them (25% increase in premiums for 3 years!). $%&$%&

So, I'm wondering if I'm getting ripped.

When (and if!) You can,

Carbon chamber? Do you mean charcol cannister?
Oil pan should run 40.00 or so, gas tank, you might get aftermarket, maybe for 100.00, cannister, wild guess at 50.00-100.00, Did you get a breakdown of parts and labor, they will charge a bit, but 2k seems a we bit high, a local shop could be a better deal.
