Replace an ignition switch yourself?

When I put the key in the ignition switch it wont move sometimes and I have to keep trying to turn it on. Its getting worse how hard is it to replace an ignition switch yourself?

Hello,

Replacing the ignition lock cylinder can be performed using simple hand tools.
Few things to keep in mind when changing out the lock cylinder:
Be sure to first disconnect the negative battery cable.
If your vehicle is equipped with anti-theft system, you will have to remove the steering wheel to get access.
