1990 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Ok my friends car he thought it was his battery so I bought him a new battery. He gets power to the car for all his lights but no power to start it. What do I do?

Assuming the battery is good, look at netral safety switch on trans.

It prevents starting in anything other that park/neutral. The switch may need replacing or out of adjustment.
