1999 Toyota Camry

I own a 99 camry 4cyl. Today when I was at a red light the engine noise increased more then usual. When I came home I parked the car and left it on and the engine gets loud then goes back to normal every couple of seconds. I noticed the radiator fans turn on and off also. Does anyone know why my cars engine is doing that?

Hi there,

The ECU controls the engine idle speed, there may be a problem with a idle control motor, I would get a scan done first to check for any unresolved fault codes and check for any loose, broken vacuum lines, start here.
