Another name for Mass Air flow Meter. Mass flow meters measure flow rate in units of mass flow, for example, lbs/min.
When they go bad, they can cause stalling, or unstable idle. Improper fuel air mixture, along with low power output. Usually they set an engine code, and run around $80-$100 for the part to replace.
