I have found out that the D-Drive indicator on my dashboard is not on. When I move the gear shift just a millameter, the light turns on but when I let go the gear shift goes back to position and indicator light goes off. I have found out this is why I do not have cruise control. How do I fix it? Thanks

You have to have a mechanic scan for codes to see if it is a shift light problem or cruise module problem. Check all fuses under hood as well.

I did hold the shifter for the light to come on and activated cruise control and it worked. Again when I let go the light turns off and so does cruise control. Would that make any difference on what do to?

What you did may indicate that the shifter is out of adjustment or if cable operated it may be stretched causing the same thing. Try that see pictures or it may be the switch on side of transmission has gone bad or worn out.
