Hi, I have a 1986 Toyota 4runner, 22RE with about 215,000 miles. When I start my truck, everything sounds normal. However after a minute or so a squeaky noise begins and doesn’t stop until I shut off the engine. The belts looks fine and from what I can tell the pulleys look okay too. Any suggestions?

No, I haven’t noticed any leaking water, but I will check the level when I get home later tonight. Do you think this symptom is caused by a faulty water pump?

Be extra careful doing this: Get a short piece water hose use it as a listening device-check the w/pump, ac comp, power steering pump while engine is idling-this will give you the direction to go from.
