Hello,

Is it Gear Oil or Brake Fluid?

If brake fluid you most likely have a bad wheel cylinder.

If gear oil you most likely have a bad axle seal.

Hello,

Thanks for answering one of my questions. I think it is gear oil and if it is indeed a bad rear axle seal, what specific parts need to be changed?

You will need to change the Brake Shoes and Axle Seal of course. You can get some Brake Cleaner to clean all other parts in the Drum.

However, you will need to remove the axle from the housing in order to replace the seal....
