Hey mate, u know anything about clutches? I think my slave went today on the hilux. The piston in the slave has come out oil squirting out wen pushing pedel, but I should still be able to drive it with out a clutch. But. The clutch is still engaged ! It's like stuck in. Like someone is pushing in the pedel in? Any idea? Why is it engaged?

I just want to know why its stuck in nutral. And the clutch is engaged and if its more then a slave cylinder.

Hi 1danikH,

If the slave cylinder piston is stuck, the clutch would be engaged if the fork is not allowed to return. It is similar to having the clutch pedal pressed when the hydraulic system is working correctly. You would have to remove the piston to allow the clutch release bearing fork to return to disengage the clutch.

Slave cylinder got replace. Still had the problem with not much clutch found out it was my clutch fork. It is cracked is it possible to chage a clutch fork in a gearbox with out taken out the box.?

The transmission has to be removed to replace the clutch fork as it is looped over the clutch shaft.

Remember to check and if necessary, replace the bigot as it could get worn unevenly. Lubrication is of utmost importance.
