I preformed a compression check on all 6 cylinders. 3 cylinders (1, 3, 5) had low compression, (2, 4, 6) normal compression. I pulled the timing belt cover off, and noticed the left cam on the (1, 3, 5) side had slipped and the timing was off.

Timing belt was replaced at 154,000 vehicle now has 190, 00. I replaced the timing belt, found TDC on number 1, (placed rod in number one spark plug and found max height on piston, then made sure rotor pointed at number one on the distributor, set both cams and crankshaft to correct marks. Engine turned over but wouldn't stay running and back fired once.

I thought the engine was 180 out, so I turned the timing 180 tried to start again same results. Double check to make TDC was one compression stroke and was correct.

Engine will still not start has spark, fuel and compression, also replace plugs, sparks plugs, rotor and button. Spark plug wires are correctly installed.

Truck ran before the timing belt change, but had no power.

Any help would be great. Thank you.
