I need to know exactly what to do to get my timing perfect. I don’t the degree and there is a wire I guess that needs to come off the computer, so it doesn’t adjust itself. I have no idea which one.

Good morning,

The computer controls the timing and will change according to load. That is the way it was designed and cannot be changed or bypass without causing engine performance issues.

To set the base timing, you need to jump the upper two terminals on the right in the data link connector. That puts it in base timing and you can set that timing.

What is the issue that makes you ask these questions?
