I bought it from a friend who didn't have money to put into it. When I got it to the house and popped the hood and to my surprise the wires going to the throttle body had been cut and the plug was missing. So I went to the junk yard and cut one off of it. Now I have no idea what pin needs what wire to get it to operate correctly. Any help would be really appreciated. The color of the wires I have there's a white/blue- orange/blue and a ground then in another shield there is a white and a ground- then there is a black- red-white and a ground in the third shield.

Hello,

So you are looking for the wiring on the throttle position sensor, right?
I have attached the wiring diagram for your reference.
On the diagram is show the red, white, blue and ground.

Is the wire color different on the harness of the junk yard one and the harness on the vehicle?

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you.

On the plug side I have 2 red and a brown they are pins 1-3 and on pins 4-6 are white black and yellow. The wires on my harness are black, red and white with a bare ground then there is another white wire with a bare ground then you have a white with blue stripe and a orange with a blue stripe and a bare ground as well and that's all of them.

Now I plugged my scanner up and it's giving me a u1000 code. How would I check that out? Because as soon as I put the key in the on position the cooling fans come on.

A U1000 code is simply a marker code saying that one or more of the computer modules in the car is not able to talk on the network. Unfortunately it doesn't give information as to which module is the problem. For that you need to see if the scan tool you have shows information from the following modules, ABS, Transmission controls, Memory system (seats, mirrors and such if equipped) and if the CAN network is operational. If your scan tool can show the network topography that would be a big help as it would show which one is offline. If not you can do the old method which involves finding the power for each of those and pulling the fuses one at a time to see which one doesn't create a different code.
Also you might ask your friend why it was parked and what parts were supposed to be bad that caused it to be parked. It could be a short in the CAN or an open or one of the modules lacks power. I would look close at the wiring then test the fuses and be sure they are all good as a blown one to a module could cause this, as could one that is missing.

I just need to know what color wires go to which pin location car side harness I have a red, black, and a white wire with a bare ground. I also have an orange/blue and a white/green wire with a bare ground. I also have a white wire and a bare ground as well. On the plug side I have 2 red wires and a brown wire they are in one row of the plug. On the other row its white, black, and yellow so my wires have to hook up to which of the wires on the plug.

Hi,

I don't know if you have made any progress, but noticed it's been a couple of days since we contacted you.

As far as the wiring, I attached the entire wiring schematic for the powertrain management below. Let me know if that is what you needed. I highlighted several of the wires you listed so you can find them easier.

There are 4 pages of wiring schematics for this. I had to cut each one in half to make them readable for you. I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next.

Take care,

Joe
