I recently had my OEM sensor replaced and now my thermostat is giving a code. Are these issues related?

Hello, I'm Danny.

Can you please provide us with the code? If you don't have access to a scanner or code reader most auto parts store have a tool loaner program and can rent you one. Here is a tutorial showing what is involved:

Us having the code can help us properly diagnose the problem.Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

I cannot remember the code but it was for the thermostat. But I discovered I have a coolant leak that is causing the code to go off. My coolant level was way too low now I just need to find exactly where the leak is.

Hi Tyler,

Can you tell me approximately where you are seeing the leak? For example is it toward the front of the vehicle, left or right side, or anything that may help me diagnose possible areas where it may be leaking?

Take a look through this link and see if it helps. Also, if the leak isn't visible when checking, the second like explains how to complete a pressure test. You will need a pressure testing tool, but most parts stores will lend/rent one to you free of charge.

Let me know if that helps or any info you feel may be beneficial. Also, if you know where the approximate leak is located, take a picture of it and upload it for me to see.

Take care,
Joe
