No power push button start

I initially got it started but could not shut it off, or shift it to gear dashboard said theft problem. I let it sit over night with battery disconnected next day started was able to move it when turned off. Now no power unable to push to start but only headlight comes on. Be advised battery is a used battery. Please advise. Thank you in advance.

It does sounds like a battery issue which interrupts the security sequence. Here is a guide to help you test the battery:
