Broken WARN brand hub spring

The pickup has been converted to WARN hubs instead of Ford hubs. There is a spring that is broken beyond recognition from the WARN hub and I cannot find even a schematic of the hub to find a part number or discover what the spring is called, how it originally looked, etc. I need a new one, but cannot find it anywhere.

The really strange thing is that only the one side seemed to have the spring though both sides are WARNs.

Hello, I am Danny.

I have found and attached two pictures of WARN brand hubs. One picture is the standard model (chrome) and the second is the premium model (gold insert). Maybe if you find a model part number I can do some further research. Did not see a spring but these are probably 2018 versions. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any further questions. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

I have seen these kits online. I have not seen any springs in any of the repair or rebuild kits either. The Dana Spicer schematics do show a "pressure spring" like the one that appeared to be in the hub that I took off. Also, in searching the web, all that came up for that year are closed knuckle springs that look like the broken spring I have. The strange thing is that there was no spring in the hub on the other side. Is that unusual? Do the Warns not have springs and this was just a piece that someone left in there from the old Ford Dana Spicer hubs when they changed over and this is why it is broken? Should the hubs not be the same on both sides? It is also strange that I can find the Dana Spicer schematics all over the web, but nothing on the Warn. Is there not a schematic somewhere?

9790 seems to be the part number for the hubs. I did not find a model number.

Hello again,

Yes, seems odd to only be on the one side and not both. I will try the number you gave me and do some more research. I will get back to you later today.

Hello again.

I just do not seem to know why that spring would be there. Curious are the hubs working? Was there a reason for you to disassemble? I could not find a schematic of what you were talking about. Seems like there converting to new style WARN (the pictures I attached before).
If they are working just clean out debris and use them or if not working it would be cheaper to upgrade than rebuilt the old outdated/discontinued. Hope this helps and keep me updated. Thanks again for using 2CarPros.
