Yes, it could but that's most likely not the problem at this point. We need to focus on the codes. Those codes are for a power supply problem to the coils which is why the smoke came out of your coil.
So I have a few things for you to try please do not try to start the engine until we've gone through all the steps.
1 unplug all 4 coils one at a time and label each one by writing on tape stick it on each one 1 2 3 and 4 keep them separate through all these steps
2. Now check the connectors /plugs to see if they look melted or anything looks abnormal about the connectors/plugs check them all then check them carefully again if good.
3. Then check the wires leading to the plugs might have to carefully unravel the protective skin covering the wires till you can see them clearly. Be careful not to damage any wires and check them about 6 inches back from the plugs.
4. Once you expose them and can see them check all wires for damage broken melted etc, once you get to that point then let us know but keep in mind there's a chance we might need to rewire some or all of them were not there yet but might go there if we do you'll need more instruction and a few supplies and diagrams to follow after you do these things let us know and we'll go to the next steps, okay? Be well and good luck.
