I installed a 1997 360 with transmission as one, but not computer. Truck fuel pump runs but no spark. Computer not communicating. Replaced plugs wires, points, distributor.

Hey FLANDY,

Check all system grounds the computer should communicate. Also check all fuses if you have not all ready. Also try the scanner on another car to make sure it is working.

Let me know what you find so we can continue.

Best, Ken

My truck is locked in shop until Monday. I am trying to find the wiring schematics of engine to follow completely. Will try the resetting security first. The scanner works fine. Is the computer even compatible? Will also be trying my sons computer-same size and year as I put in. Thank you for helping me. Mechanic and owner at shop gave up (it has sat now near a month).

It will be difficult to say if the computer is the same only the architects at Dodge could tell you that, the best best when you do an engine swap is to get the computer and harness from the car you are swapping the engine from. Here is the wiring diagrams.

Please let us know what you find so it will help others.

Best, Ken
