Is it possible for me to do an engine swap from a 2007, 5.7 hemi, into my 2005 dodge ram 1500. If so, what has to be changed and/or kept the same to make it work?

Anything is possible with enough money. You 'll have to change motor mounts, ecu for bigger engine, maybe trans and maybe exhaust system along with other odds and ends which make it not really worth it to do it.

You may need the entire wiring harness, ecu from the donor, plus may need to do a skim delete on the new motors ecm. I am going having the reverse done to my ram. 2005 motor into a 2007 truck. My old motor was the small 4.7 which overheated and siezed on me. I am taking everything I need from a donor truck. Having a few problems but so far other than electronics it is all going in well.
