2003 RAM 1500 4X4 4.7L VIN: N BAD ENGINE. FOUND 5.7L VIN: D, WILL THE 5.7 BOLT UP WITHOUT MAJOR MODS. OR BE BEST TO HUNT FOR ANOTHER 4.7.

You are better to hunt for another 4.7 due to computer hook ups that either engine may or may not have. Also one may be internally balanced and the other externally balanced which would cause problems with balance for torque converter. There are other problem sas well like belt hook ups motor mount, etc.
