2000 Subaru Outback

MY CAR IS GOING INTO THE SHOP NEXT WEEK TO REPAIR/REPLACE THE POWER STEERING PUMP AND I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD DRIVE IT UNTIL THEN.

Hi there,

If the pump is not loosing fluid and just noisy or the fluid loss is not such that it will run dry, you should be able to drive it, but with out knowing the exact reason for the pump replacement, may be ask the mechanic that is doing the job if he feels that it is safe to keep driving till the repair is completed.
