Ive had two alternators put in my car now. 80% of the time it wont start without a jump. Its seems like something is draining battery. Alternator test is ok. New battery put in. There is no pattern to this, it just doesnt start at any given time, and then at times its fine. Help.

Test starter&solenoid, Then put an ammeter in series with your positive battery cable(cable off post) to see if something is drawing current when the car is off.

You most likely have worn starter contacts. As they wear it takes more current to engage the drive Mechanism of the starter across the contacts. And that is why jumping it seems to help. The symtom you will get is a "click " when you try to start it and some times if you just keep trying finally it will engage the starter.
