This is the subaru loyale. If you're familiar with them, you know it has a boxer style engine.

Now, I know that the heads can be cracked between the valves and it be fine because it's solid. These two heads are. BUT, one of the crack goes a little further down inside an intake valve. Now, this vehicle DID have blown headgaskets. Obviously blown headgaskets. But I don't want to put the new gaskets on if that crack has a potential to go across a waterjacket.'

I did a wet-test, and they weren't leaking. But I don't know where the waterjackets go in these heads, and I was hoping someone on here could tell me if that crack stays where it's solid cast, like the rest of the dividers of the valves. Most of the jackets are on the outside around the exhaust valves, which makes sense since that's where it needs to be cooled.

Thanks.

I would have a machine shop pressure test them to simulate them being on an engine, when torqued down, cracks tend to open up more, which can create a problem, might not show up on a wet test like you did
