1999 Subaru Legacy overheating

I have changed thermostates twice in a week. Still overheating. Is the waterpump going out. If I let the auto sit over night on the trip to school it will not over heat. But short trips. The second time to start in an hour it does over heat. Turning in the heater trick works sometimes but summer is comming.

Hi there.

If you are not loosing coolant, have the radiator cleaned & flow tested, check that the pressure cap is working, make sure the cooling fans are coming on. Start here.
