My engine light came on about two weeks ago and I took it in to have the code read and it was the mass air flow. Probable causes were that the sensor was dirty or defective, a tube was falling off or was broken. Well my car started to idle low and started to cut out and or bog down as if it was getting to much gas or not enough. So we checked all the possible problems out and decided it was the sensor, the sensor looked worn out and old. So I bought a new mass air flow sensor and my car ran great for like an hour after it was put in and the engine light is still on after it was put in, and then after it sat for three hours when I went to drive it, it started to idle low and bog down and cut out. What could be the issue?

What was the exact code? Best bet will be to clear the codes with a scanner and see what comes back. Look for vacuum leaks, use carb cleaner to carefully spray the intake area to see if the engine changes rpm, if so you have found a leak. Also check the tube from theMass Air sensor to the engine for any cracks or leaks.

P0105, P0106? According to my software, those are both transmission codes. Exactly which Legacy is this? And the exact production date off the door sticker
