Stuck gear shifter and car will not start

This morning I was leaving for work and I started my vehicle everything seemed normal out it in reverse normal as well, put it in drive normal as well, then a half a block down I stalled not normal. So I put it in park and tried to start and nothing. All lights everything works so I tried a few more times and nothing. So I have to push to side of road went to put it in neutral and it is stuck in park.

Hello,

Even though the lights work it sounds like the battery has shorted out, please do this test to check and be sure.
