I had the shifter and the eco both replaced but the car still won’t start. The key is locked into the on position and cannot remove it. What else can be wrong? No warnings before the locked position engaged.

Hi,

I need a better understanding. First, is the shifter fully engaging in the park position? I ask because if it isn't, the park interlock will prevent you from removing the key.

Next, if the shifter is in the park position and you can't turn the key off, I need you to check a fuse in the under-hood fuse box. It is the ignition switch fuse. I attached a pic of the fuse box below and highlighted the fuse. First, inspect the fuse to confirm it is good. If it is, it is important to confirm the fuse is getting power. Here is a link to help you with that.

Let me know what you find and as much information as you can to help me better diagnose the issue.

Take care,

Joe
