Today while driving my car started locking up in drive gear when I started from stop sign, just like I am pressing brakes in pulsating action. Then turned back to my home and there I realized I had lost my reverse gear completely. After couple of hours I tried to move the car and shifter moved and engine kept turning but car would not move, I turn OD off and car moved in driveway. I turn it off any try to move it again and car did not even budge no matter where shifter is. I can't push the car as its not coming out of parking but shifter linkage on transmission is moving. No check light on the car. So in total no drive or reverse, car stuck in parking (maybe) cuz can't push it, shifter has no binding and no check engine light.

What could it be? Any shift solenoids or my fear has come true, that it needs a new transmission

When you try to move it, does the engine rev like it is in neutral or does it feel like there is a load on it and it can't move?

Since there is no check engine light on, the fluid is clean and full, and the linkage is working properly, this isn't good. It sounds like something has come apart internally. It could simply be a torque converter issue or the front pump not supplying enough pressure.

Is parking brake actuator moved by fluid pressure or its moved by a cam? It should atleast come out of parking if its torque converter issue. I will try to drain and fill tomorrow just in case. I am also thinking its some mechanical issue not a electric one. Where is front pump?

No to brake and the front pump is located behind where the torque converter is located.
