Hi. My husband brought another car and passed this car on to me. The car has been having some problems such as a crooked steering wheel and leaking fluid. My husband took it to the mechanic to get it checked out about four months ago. It was running okay until about a month ago. Right now it will not start at all. My husband is tired of getting it fixed and he thinks we should sell it. I was wondering if the car is worth keeping or should we sell it. There are about 170,000 miles on the car right now. I wanted to keep the car if possible instead of buying another car if the repairs would be cheaper than buying another car.

Good afternoon.

Did you have someone tell you why it will not start and why the steering wheel is not straight?

That would be the start to get an idea of what is needed and what the costs will be for the repairs.

Selling a car with 170,000 and does not run and suspension issues will not bring any significant money.

Hi. I am not sure why the car is not starting or what is wrong with the wheel. Last time my husband took it to the mechanic, he had them look at the transmission I think since the car was leaking fluid. The car not starting at all is a new problem. I am thinking of having a mobile mechanic to come look at the car to do a through inspection on the car. I was posting on here to get a second opinion to see if the car may be worth salvaging.

Depending on the issues and the money needed to repair it, those are the variables.

Once you find out why, let us know.
