Hello,

It starts and goes out immediately. When trying to program the remote key. Nothing happens.
In order to start the car, I had to open the car with the remote control on the key, the remote control stopped working and I cannot start.
I also did the relearning procedure, but the security lamp does not want to go out, it lights up all the time.
I would like to know what the problem may be and whether it can be fixed and how to fix it.
I would like to completely remove the security system from my car so that it always fires. If it is possible.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the system can't be removed. You mentioned that you tried performing a relearn process. What was done?

Also, if the key is left in the "on" position, will the light turn off after approximately 10 minutes?

I just need to know one other thing. You mentioned it starts and goes out immediately. Are you referring to the light or the engine?

Take a look through this link also. It may be helpful.

Let me know. Also, let me know if you have checked for diagnostic trouble codes.

Take care,

Joe

I left the key in the "on" position and the security light did not go out, I waited even 20 minutes and it did not go out.
The engine starts and immediately shuts down.

Hi,

You are experiencing a fuel lockout. Are you using a known good key? Have you tried a different one?

My concern is that the light isn't turning off. This could be an indication of a failed body control module (BCM) or powertrain control module (PCM). Please keep in mind, this is a theory at this point based on conditions.

What should be done is to scan the can-bus system. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, all the different modules are tied together via a few wires. This type of scan will provide diagnostic codes regardless of the module storing them. Here is a link showing how it's done. Because there could be one or more modules at fault, I am recommending this be done.

Next, take a look at pic 1 below. This is what I suspect is happening. To test the circuit, we will need a scan tool that can communicate with the different modules.

If you look through the last 3 pics, they provide the diagnostics. Let me know if you are comfortable performing them.

Take care,

Joe
