Seat will not recline?

My wife's friend's kid pushed the seat recline all the way up. Now seat won't recline back. Seat has power and moves back and forth about a quarter of an inch each way. Motor is hot to the touch. Is there a way to manually adjust it, or do I have to purchase a whole seat?

It sounds like the drive motor burnt up or the drive is jammed or broken. You must first remove the seat and check out the drive motor assembly which I posted instructions for below. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.
