Horn starts beeping by itself. Have replaced clock spring in steering column and the door jamb sensor without correcting problem. Had key entry cilander replaced years ago after someone tried to break in with a screw driver. Three garages have been unable to correct problem. Steering wheel makes a noise when turned as if it is to tight. Help.

What makes it hard is that it doesnt happen all the time. They had a bulletine where I belive it was water getting into the rear door jamb switchs casuing the horn alarm to go off. Does it come on solid or does it go off and on like the alarm has been set off. Do u have to press the unlock button to make it stop? Also does it ever happen when ur driving down the street? The more details the better.

It only goes off while I am driving. Water doesn't seem to be the problem. It beeeps rather than constant sound. When I turn off the ignation, it will stop. This is a new development as before it would stay on until I removed the fuse. It seems to be triggered by turning the wheel or hitting a bump in the road.

So u replaced the sir coil right?Have u checked ur horn buttons I have seen those go bad also another thing to check is the horn I have seen them fill with water. Also have seen the horns short out and ground themselves and turn themselves on.U have a constant power to horn wtih a ground trigger so if the horn shorts itself to ground then it will come on and stay on. Another thing u might want to check is make sure ur horn wire isnt somewhere shorted to ground in ur steering column somewhere. Let me know what u find.
