1993 Saturn SL1 won't start

I just put a new starter in it and it was running great. I just filled up the gas tant went about 1 mile went to shut a gate and it superted and died. When I went to start it and it would not start. When I towed it. It would start but I would have to keep it reved but as soon as I take my foot of the petal it stops. And when it does run it has white smoke.

While it's running take a hammer turn it side ways and smack the gas tank right where u see the square part of the tank that sits lower then the rest of the tank smack it a few times see if it runs better after that let me know what happens. Sounds Luke ur fuel pump is taking a dump. Seeing how u had ur problem right after u filled the tank with cold fuel. Let me know.
