Every once in awhile when I get in my car to start it it won't start the engine won't turn over and the security light is blinking I have to wait ten minutes until the security light stops blinking then I turn it off and then restart it and also when i'm driving the security light comes on and also the service light at the same time and stay on until I turn the car off I know it has to do with the security cutting the fuel off how do I fix this please help thank you.

First of all thank you so much for your donation. To start with we need to see what code's we have so we know what direction to start in.I want you to go to a auto parts store like auto zone and have your car check for code's and bring me back the code number's. The problem with that though is they will only be able to get you engine and transmission code's. If your security light is coming on we will need to get your body control module code's as well. You might have to take it to a shop to get those read. But let's start with getting the other code's. Let me know what you find.

Yes they have scanner's to read your bcm code's but I have never seen a auto part's store that had one that could do that you could call around and see if you can find one though. The more expensive scanners will do body codes.I have to warn you though depending on which code you have some of the trouble tree's ask you to view passlock sensor data on the scan tool to see which way on the trouble you go. Let's just start with getting the code's and go from there. Let me know what you find.
