2003 Saturn Ion 2003 Saturn Ion 3 often won't start

Hello,
Please help me. My 2003 saturn ion 3 sporatically just won't start. It will be fine some days and start right up, but will just not turn over on other days. No rhyme or reason as to when it happens although cold windy wet weather does not help.
Please help me with some suggestions. I don't even know what to do. We have had the battery checked and the mechanic wants to see it when it is not starting which is next to impossible. There are so many online forums about this same issue for other saturn owners. We are all having the same problem with no help.

Pretty common for that model when it wont start like that especially in cold its usually a bad ignition switch. Have ur body control module scanned for codes if u have a b2960 and or a b3033 codes replace the ignition switch pretty easy to change and the switch is only like 40. Let me know what u find and how it goes.
