The key fob will not unlock the rear hatch, I cant get the hatch open. How do I get it open? It is an Escalade ESV it has a key fob and an unlock button on the door panel. All of the door locks work except the rear hatch and I can not get it open.

In the instrument panel fuse box check the ECC fuse (10amp). That powers the relay and the BCM triggers it with a ground signal so the relay could be bad also. It is behind the panel to the right of the rear hatch. If it all is good, the door lock actuator inside the tailgate could be bad.

If all good you may need to climb back and remove the interior panel to gain access to the latch assembly to manually open it.

More then likely this is the latch has failed. The way to confirm this is to check power at the actuator when the door is unlocked.

I attached the connector view below which is what you will need to test that. Plus here is a guide that will help perform this:

Lastly I attached below the process from the manual on how to replace the latch as I am sure that is the issue.

Thanks
