I checked everything and I had very low oil. I replaced the oil completely and my truck still will not start. I've unhooked the battery to soft reset the computer and she will not fire over still. I watched the oil pressure gauge go up to about 50% of the lines and then when I stop cranking it just looses all pressure. Can anyone tell me what's going on here because I'm at a loss? I feel it maybe is a busted rear seal or maybe the oil pump? If anyone could help out would be great.

Hi,

Check to see if the inertia switch needs reset. It should be located in the rear of the vehicle, driver's side. You should have a small panel that is removable to access it. I attached two pics which I hope help.

Let me know if this helps. If it doesn't, I need to know if you are getting fuel and spark to the engine. Here are two links that explain how it is done:

Let me know what you find.

There is no fuel reset in the back just a air suspension switch. The cop that showed up said that the only way the fuel switch gets tripped is from an accident crash. I lost oil pressure which shut me down.

Hi,

Yes, that is the how it works. I was thinking it could be somehow related. I do have a question. You listed the vehicle as an Expedition. A V6 isn't offered, so I assumed you meant it had a 4.6L V8. Which is correct? Is it an Expedition or possibly an Explorer with the 4.0L V6?

Now, since you are showing fuel pressure what I suggest is to get your hands on a scan tool. Check for diagnostic trouble codes and clear any that are stored. There may be memory in the system keeping it shut down.

If you can't get a scanner, I need to know if you have lost both spark and fuel to the engine or one or the other.

Let me know.
