I have the truck listed above (SS). I have been plaque with a random crank but no start. If the problem happens, it always starts on the second try. I have replaced the fuel pump, ignition switch (in the column), and key switch. Any ideas?

Hello,

Have you checked the crank position sensor?
It almost sounds like an issue with the crank sensor.
Many times a faulty crank sensor will make it difficult to start the engine.
It can also create intermittent starting issue. The crank sensor does require programing for these trucks.

Is your check engine light on?
Let me know your thoughts.

Thank you.

I have no codes except for Airbag. Excellent suggestion, I have seen them became faulty on other GM vehicles but didn't consider on my Silverado. I will look into the crank sensor. I appreciate the speedy response.

Found out the crank sensor has recently been changed recently. Will check the fuse box. Feels like a sticky fuse. Spit balling now.
