My SUV's stereo won’t produce any sounds after I start the car up.

It’ll play for a minute or so when I turn the ignition halfway but it won’t continue to produce any sound after I finish starting the car, even though the radio is still on. It may play only for a second, then that’s it. Every time I start it up fully.

Any advice on this issue would be helpful and informative, thank you!

My name is Dan.

If the radio is on, then it means it is getting power. I've attached a way to pull DTC (Diagnostic trouble codes) from the radio without a scan tool, as well as the DTC definitions.
It also be helpful to know if this truck has a navigation radio, a center console, steering wheel controls for the radio, or a factory subwoofer.

Basically we are just going to need a little more info on this because no sound is normally an internal issue to the radio. Muffled sound or distorted is an amp issue (if equipped) so we just need to find out if there are codes in the radio that can help point us in the right direction.

Please let us know if you have questions and what you find with this info. Thanks

No, it’s just a factory stereo, no navigation or backup camera on.

It could be a faulty radio. If the radio is powering on, yet no sound is coming out, it could be the cause. Below is a page that shows how to do a speaker walk around test without a scan tool. Activate the test and then listen. Sound should come from each speaker one at a time, one after another. This can help determine if you have speaker issues, or a radio issue.
I've also added the wiring diagram for the radio.
Did the radio show any codes when you activate the self test?
