I recently changed the purge solenoid on my vehicle, but the vehicle is now running worse. When I unhook the wire thing from the solenoid. Is there supposed to be a change in the motor while running?

Good afternoon,

No, there will not be a change at all.

Why did you change it? Was there a code for this component?

Is the check engine light on? If so, do you know the codes?

Please give me as much information as you can.

It's throwing a multiple cylinder misfires and check engine light is flashing when you go down the road. My husband changed it because he broke a piece off when changing the spark plugs and wires.

Okay, thanks. that makes sense.

I would start by checking the fuel pressure. Low fuel pressure will cause misfires and make the engine run that way.
