Power window passenger side motor moves one direction only

Hello,

I tried to figure out looking at previous questions/answers but mine seems to be a little different problem.
Window motor on passenger side spins just one direction, down.
Switch from driver and passenger operates fine to down. When switched on up, from both passenger and driver side switches, a tiny click comes out of the switch box on driver side, but motor does not spin.
Single it gives signs of life (a little click) when operated, means wiring/circuits are fine?

Good morning.

No, it only means a command may be sent but it could be either the motor or a module issue to the motor. There is a module inside the door panel that controls the operation of the motor. Check the connection closely for any damaged, loose or burned pins.

I will attach a diagram for you to view to take voltage checks.

Thanks for your answer and information. I disassembled the passenger door. Connections and pins looked good. I took away the motor itself, but I could not find anything wrong. Took out the switch box, opened it (is that the module you are talking about?). Green circuitry looked good. Interestingly, a tiny pink wire was coming out and going nowhere, literally hanging. Lights does not dime when up switch is operated, from both the passenger and driver side. I assume motor must be good, as it moves in one direction, and so it must be able to move backwards if appropriately commanded.
I would like to avoid buying a switch box for nothing (new is $330.00).

Okay, verify the command to come up from the motor itself. When you command up, do you have power sent to the motor? Is one wire hot or is both wires hot in the up command position?

Hello. Thanks. So, I ran a test on the cable that than is connected to the green cable that goes to the motor (electricity come so from the switch box). One of the pins is hot when switch down, cold when up. The other is cold all the way, switch up or down on passenger side.

Okay, based on those finding the door module is the issue. You have no power for the up command. That is where it comes from?

Hello, thanks. It comes from the switch box on passenger side. However, up command does not work from driver side as well. By module you mean the passenger side switch box?

That is correct. It needs to send the command.

Thanks so much. Both driver's and passenger's side up commands are faulting. How can I know which one I have to replace? I guess replace because I am not sure it can be repaired, is it not?

Thank you. Would you replace can passenger or driver side (or both)? Also, would you know what is that funny pink wire coming out of the switch box? It goes nowhere, attached with tape to the door plastic.

Replace just the failure.

It may be for an accessory or testing.

If both side commands are failing, I would do both. Odd that they failed at the same time.

Are they independent or interdependent? Maybe I am missing something: in the diagram you provided there is no command for passenger window in driver module. However, drivers module has a command for passenger window. However, motor is connected just to the passenger side, meaning, I believe, that command from driver side goes to passenger side switch and than from it to the motor. Is my reasoning correct?

Thanks. As I can hear a tiny little click when driver switch for passenger up window is operated, I am crossing the finger and assume that the passenger module is faulting, replace it and let you know how it goes.
